VIT committed to Tourism and Hospitality curriculum

The Tourism and Hospitality curriculum is still being offered in the Vanuatu Institute of Technology (VIT)’s 2021 academic program, despite the COVID-19 lockdown.

While the tourism industry is affected by the reduction of regional and international visits, VIT believes the lockdown will soon be uplifted.

“We cannot stop upskilling our workforce even though our borders are closed,” VIT Principal Wade Evans told Daily Post.

“We are optimistic the borders will not remain closed as the latest developments in vaccinations indicate that sooner or later borders will open. We need to be prepared.”

Daily Post understands VIT will be delivering Certificate II in Hospitality (Food Preparation), Certificate II in Hospitality (Accommodation Services), Certificate II in Tourism (Tour Operations, Certificate II in Tourism (Customer Services) this year as well.
