This qualification reflects the role of individual graduates who have enrolled in 6 months course a variety of junior administrative positions who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. Individuals

Module 1: Workplace and Communication Skills

This module deals with the skills and knowledge required to maintain a range of work areas as well as basic communication skills in the workplace, in particular, gathering, conveying and receiving information together with completing assigned written information.

Module 2 : Basic Drawing Skills

Days: 8

Dates: 2-14 Apr

This module involves the learner gaining skills and knowledge required to create a basic visual representation of objects or ideas including measurement of quantities in standard units and the carrying out of basic calculations involving these quantities.

Module 3: Drawing in Art Form

Days: 18

Dates: 20 Apr-14 May

Fees (VT): 23010

In this module the learner gains the skills and knowledge required to express their own cultural identity through artistic practice including basic drawing techniques to produce fundamental drawings from simple ideas. The Learner will then be required to produce drawings from design concepts which are reviewed and adjusted during the work in progress.

Module 4: Basic Painting Techniques

Days: 10

In this module the learner gains the skills and knowledge required to use a limited range of basic painting techniques to produce fundamental paintings from simple ideas. The learner then desigs, fabricates components and assembles a simple artwork package

Module 5 : Sculptural Skills

Days: 12

Dates: 8-23 Jun

Fees (VT): 15340

In this module the learner gains the skills and knowledge applied when working with sculpture. The learner than learns to apply the skills and knowledge learnt to produce  finished wood objects from design concepts which are reviewed and adjusted during the work in progress.

Module 6 : Basic Papermaking Skills

Days: 11

Dates: 29 Jun-13 Jul

This module deals with basic skills for making paper from a variety of materials.

Module 7 : Selling Skills

Days: 7

Dates: 19-27 Jul

Fees (VT): 8930

 

IMPORTANT

Participants can exit at any time and receive statements of attainment for successful modules covered.

Participants successfully completing all modules will be eligible for a Certificate II in Fine Arts and Craft

Minimum entry level is Year 10 completion with a pass grade

Enrolment Forms can be picked up at VIT administration office or sent to your email account

Fees can be paid by modules, multiples of modules or in full, however fees for each module must be paid in full before being allowed entry in the next
